At Monarch Dental, we know that in Canada and around the world, tooth decay is the most common, but also a very preventable, childhood chronic disease. Since oral disease most often starts in the preschool years, it is very important that children establish good oral hygiene practices early on. In Canada, one third of people do not have dental insurance and, as a result, many go without much needed dental care because the costs are too high.

To help, the Government of Canada has implemented the interim Canada Dental Benefit Program, which is designed to provide some financial support to Canadian families requiring dental care. With this benefit, which will run until 2024, families may begin addressing some of the basic dental care their young children need, while the Government continues its plans to develop a long-term Canadian dental care program. This benefit is designed for:

  • For Kids Under 12 years old
  • For families with an adjusted net income under $90,000 per year
  • For those who don’t have access to private dental care insurance
